Grading Procedures for Dunaway Elementary
Waxahachie Independent School District

All grades for student assignments and tests will be weighted equally.  

Report Cards are usually sent home on the Thursday following the end of each grading period. Students receive Report Cards every 9 weeks. 

Students in grades 2-5 receive Report Cards with the numerical grading system.  Any grade below 70 is failing.  Report Cards must be signed by the parent/guardian and returned to school.    Progress Reports will be sent at regular intervals of 4.5 weeks.

All first grade students will receive Report Cards with the following evaluation:
E = Excellent
S = Satisfactory
I = Improved but still less than satisfactory
N = Needs Improvement
U = Unsatisfactory
